Innovation Projects
Smart Jewelry
Company: Galatea
Role: UX/UI Designer
Problem: Galatea has the only smart jewelry where people can save their special memories (video, images, and audio) into it, but customers were struggling to understand how it works.
Solution: Redesign the app to provide an intuitive user experience for customers to scan the smart jewelry (with an NFC chip inside), navigate and manage their memories. I have also suggested new features that brought even more value to the product.
Outcome: The app redesign was very successful and received great feedback from customers that loved it.
VR Race Game
Company: Globo TV
Role: UX/UI Designer
Problem: Globo TV aimed to boost submissions for its annual advertising award while engaging media and local professionals.
Solution: We developed a captivating VR game where players race virtually, collecting points and avoiding obstacles.
Outcome: The VR campaign resulted in a 116% increase in submissions, with users engaging an average of 10 times each. The game won two Silvers at the Ampro Globe Awards.
Pitú VR Experience
Company: Pitú
Role: UX/UI Designer and Creative Director.
Problem: Create a Virtual Reality Experience to promote Pitú beverage at the National Meeting of the Supply Chaing in Sao Paulo.
Solution: Create a VR experience that transported event attendants to a virtual bar with 360o vision where they could choose an option from the menu. At the end of the experience, when removing the VR glasses, they were surprised to see their chosen dish in the virtual environment in front of them. The magic happened because there was a fake wall in front of the participant. Upon selecting an option in the virtual app, a notification was generated to a cook behind the fake wall who prepared the order and placed it without the participant of the action noticing (as the VR glasses still blinded him).
Outcome: The action was a success and won the 1st Place award in the 'Best Promotional Action' category of the Exhibitor Award - ENACAB 2016 São Paulo Highlights.
Cubefree
Company: Citrix
Role: UI Designer
Problem: Mobile workers need to find reliable places to work remote.
Solution: CubeFree takes away the hassle of finding great public places to work, including cafes, libraries and co-working spaces.
Outcome: The app was a winner of the Citrix Connect 2014 Innovation Challenge and was selected for the Citrix Startup Accelerator program.
Globeleza
Company: Globo TV
Role: Creative Director, UX, and UI Designer
Problem: Globeleza is one of the national icons of Brazilian Carnival festivities, and Globo TV was looking for a powerful idea to promote Globeleza online.
Solution: Develop an interactive website that would allow users to upload their photos, customize their character and generate a video with Globeleza's official soundtrack to be shared on social media and WhatsApp.
Outcome: The project was launched in 2015 and had tremendous success, having tens of thousands of generated videos in a few days. Globo TV promoted it massively and nationally throughout its website and social media, generating videos with station artists that reached hundreds of thousands of people each.
Augmented Reality Game
Company: Globo Nordeste TV
Role: Creative Director, UX/UI Designer, and Art Director.
Problem: Promote Globo Nordeste Media Award.
Solution: Create an Augmented Reality Game where participants would use a hammer to destroy the virtual Advertising Monsters that pop from the board to collect points.
Outcome: The AR game was a success and generated positive buzz for Globo Nordeste Media Award. It was also a finalist on the Peixe Grande Award 2009 in the Technical Jury category and featured on the design websites Papervision Show Case and Web da Gente.
Augmented Reality Ad
Company: Pe360graus
Role: Creative Director, UX/UI Designer, and Art Director.
Problem: Promote “Recife Summer Festival”, one of the largest musical events in the state.
Solution: Create a newspaper ad with a printed key that, when shown in front of the webcam, triggers a 3D animation with music showing the event's headline
Outcome: The project was launched in March 2009 and was one of Brazil's first Augmented Reality used for marketing purposes. It made a huge impact in the market and was considered very innovative, generating buzz for the event.
